Pictures of our Apartment

We love the location of our apartment! The complex is up on a hill so the view from the deck is great. We are also within a ten minute walk from everything. It's wonderful. We are really liking the area we live in. It's very safe, clean and close to all the great shopping and restaurants!
This is the view to the east from our deck.

We have a nice walk in closet! I thought we would have to live out of our suitcases. I don't know what I was thinking but before we came out I didn't think this place would even have room for closets.

The one thing I really wanted our place to have was a swimming pool. Jay was very kind to grant my wish and find us a beautiful place with palm trees, a swimming pool, and a hot tub!

The Simple Life

We call it the simple life here because we are realizing how little we really need to live and be happy. We really like it! It makes me want to go home and throw all my "stuff" away. I don't spend all my time here cleaning the house because first of all we don't have much of a house and second there's no stuff to make the place messy. It's great.
We were trying to decide what to do for a bed while we were out here so at home we took the memory foam off of our bed and threw it on the floor for a few nights to try out. It was actually pretty comfortable. We vaccumed packed it up and brought it for our bed. Well after about two weeks my back started to hurt so we went out and bought an air matress. We put the memory foam on top of the air matress and we are back in buisness now. Kayla sleeps in the pack n play. It works great for her. It even has a changing station on it.

Yes, we even had room for our microwave in the car, along with the beds, stroller, dishes, toys, kitchen table, garbage cans, shower curtain, towels, etc. etc. I was amazed we remembered everything we would need while here.

Moving to San Francisco

On June 13 we packed up the car and took off for San Francisco! Jay has an internship there this summer for 8 weeks at an accounting firm. We will move back to Provo the middle of August so Jay can finish up his last year at BYU in the Masters of Accounting program. If he gets the job offer in San Francisco we will most likely move back in the summer of 2010.
I was truely amazed that we fit all of our stuff in the car. Our place is not furnished so we had to bring everything we needed with us. We really didn't want to rent a traylor so we just took the essentials and made it work. The ride there was an adventure. We left on Saturday June 13 about 3:00 p.m. After merging on to I-80 out of Salt Lake we ran into bad traffic. After about 5 min we were at a dead stop. In one hour we only moved about 3 miles. We decided nuts to this and we got off on the next exit and headed for Bountiful where we stayed with my cousin and her husband. We found out there was an accident that morning that closed I-80. By the time we got there they only had one lane open. We stayed at my cousin's house until 12:00a.m. and then took off again. Jay drove until 5:00 a.m. while Kayla and I slept and then I drove so Jay could sleep. We arrived at our place around 10:00 a.m
