Birth of Preston

To those of you who have never met our little Preston here are some pictures of him on the day he was born (almost ten months ago) I realize I am not much of a blogger any more. My days are filled with living our life here in California and enjoying being a busy mother of two!

Preston Now!

We love our Preston! He has brought so much excitement to our lives! He is a very happy boy and has a very easy going personality.

The Move.. update continued

After Jay's graduation and a lovely summer with Jay home, on August 19 of 2010 we loaded up the truck and Jay drove all by himself to Northern California where we had a place waiting for us to move into! Jay received an offer at the accounting firm WTAS in San Francisco where he had his internship at. We found an awesome place to live with wonderful neighbors and a great deal on rent. ( We have loved living here! ) We decided it would be best for me to stay in Utah to have our baby boy because of insurance purposes along with me wanting to have a vbac. Kayla and I moved into my mom's house and enjoyed the time there but missed our Daddy!

Jay's Graduation

Oh happy day! That is what this smile is about! Almost a year ago, on April 22 of 2010 Jay finally graduated from BYU with his masters in accounting. After almost having a bachelors degree in Chemistry and applying to dental school and then changing his mind, we have finished the long journey of school. After being Jay's sugar mama for six years I am now enjoying my sugar daddy!

My brother Kenny who worked for the BYU photography department took this picture and someone in the philanthropy department saw it and wanted to use it for their scholarship ad. This picture was in the LDS Living magazine and was also sent to people's house address as a postcard (which we didn't know about until Jay's cousin received one in the mail and said to her husband "look this postcard looks just like Kayla, it's gotta be her." Her husband thought she was crazy until they were at their family Christmas party and one of the Aunts was showing the same picture of Kayla to everyone in the LDS Living magazine. We laughed when they told us this.) We unfortunately never got a postcard but we did purchase the magazine.

The Update

A lot has happened in the last year since my last blog post! It has defiantly been the most eventful year of our marriage. We are busy living life and enjoying the ride. I will try to catch everyone up on what we've been up to. It may come in bits and pieces as I get time to blog so be patient.

Kayla's New Shirt!

Kayla wanted to let everyone know her good news! I'm not quite sure she really understands what it all means right now but I'm sure she will soon enough. She will be a big sister on or around October 6!

San Francisco Giants

So, if you've been wondering why we have been playing ward softball for the last three months it's because Jay has decided to ditch his career as an accountant and go play for the San Francisco Giants. It's much more fun and better pay!! ( He's gotten good over the last three months) He's the one up to hit. O.k. so not really, but it sounded good to me for an excuse for not updating our blog.
Taking you back in time to August, here's an update of our last couple of weeks in California
We went and watched the San Francisco Giants with Jay's office. Kayla got this Giants teddy bear from a cute little girl named Kate. (one of the partners daughters)

Jay the accountant!

This big building behind Jay is WTAS in San Francisco where Jay worked for the summer.
Jay at his very own desk.
Before watching the Giants game Kayla and I went to check out Jay's office. This is the view from the seventeenth floor. He has a great view of the city!

Yes, this is Jay with a mustache. They had a mustache growing contest at work and Jay won the loser prize. We both think it was a much better prize than the t-shirt the winner got.
